Kids and Climbing
Rock On Climbing is an recreational facility geared towards adults, as it is recommended that children start climbing here at 12 years and older.
Guardians are entrusted with evaluating suitability. Two primary considerations exist for determining the appropriateness for your child: height—those under 4’ 6” may struggle with certain routes as our routes are designed with adult proportions in mind and problem-solving abilities-bouldering involves learning bodily movement through trial and error, a process that can lead to frustration in younger participants. This experience builds resilience and adaptability, yet some may lack the emotional maturity to navigate this effectively.
Accompanying adults must always be supervising their child.
To ensure the safety of all our guests we request non-climbing children are not brought to the gym unless they can remain in a carrier or stroller at all times.
During private bookings, children under 12 years old must be supervised at all times by a non-climbing adult at a ratio of 1 child per 1 adult.
Children up to 14 years old: They must be accompanied by an adult at the ratio of 2 children for 1 adult.
Youths aged 15-18 are an acceptable supervisor for youths aged 10-14.
All visitors under the age of 18 must have the risk acceptance form signed by a parent or guardian.
For safety and insurance reasons, climbing access during member hours is restricted to individuals aged 18 and over. This policy applies to all participants, including members and their guests.
